Sp Chopra, Chandigarh : GM Foundation's production house Global Middas Capital (GMC) announced the making of a film titled ‘Kanpur Files’. At a press conference held at Chandigarh Press Club here today, Producer Sardar Inder Preet Singh said that his film will be based on the real events of the 1984 Sikh genocide. The full name of the film is 'The Kanpur Files - 1984 Sikh Genocide'. The premeditated mass killings, looting and violent incidents against Sikhs in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district during 1984 will be brought to the screen with facts, evidence, witnesses and victims in this docu-drama film.   Sardar Inder Preet Singh said that this incident was very unfortunate but it is a matter of regret that even after so many years of the incident, no action was taken against the culprits and neither the victims got justice.
